Cook:RE

Cook:RE keeps your recipes on your device. There is no account to create, no profile, and no feed. This page describes every case where data leaves your iPhone.

What stays on your device

Your library — recipes, edits, notes, tags, collections, measurement preferences, and timers — is stored locally on your iPhone and included in your own iCloud or local device backups. We cannot read it.

What leaves your device

Recipe import. When you share a recipe in from a website, an app, or a photo, the page content or image is sent to our import service so it can be turned into structured ingredients and steps. The result comes back to your phone and is stored there. Import requests are processed and not retained as part of a user profile. Photos and PDFs are read by our text-recognition provider, which keeps them for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and then deletes them. They are not linked to you.

Purchases. Subscriptions and the one-time purchase are handled by Apple. We receive the receipt needed to confirm your purchase is valid. We never see your payment details.

Diagnostics. If the app crashes or hits an error, we may receive a crash report describing what went wrong. These reports do not include your recipes.

Support reports. If you submit the support form on this website, your reply email and message are sent to the Cook:RE support mailbox so we can reply. Cloudflare Turnstile also receives the information needed to check that the submission is from a person. Support reports are handled manually; this site does not create an account or a support profile.

What we never collect

  • Your contacts or an account profile
  • Advertising identifiers; we run no ads and do no tracking
  • The contents of your library

This website

cookre.app uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without fingerprinting visitors. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to.

Your choices

You can export or delete your library from within the app at any time. Deleting the app removes the local copy; anything in your own device backups is under your control in iCloud settings.
